This is an excellent condition vintage Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman, designed by Ray & Charles Eames for Herman Miller in the 1950s. This iconic set (model #670 & #671) with the original Brazilian Rosewood shells (marked #571) caramel-brown leather upholstery and aluminum base & accents. From the early 70s, the original caramel leather cushions are in excellent shape with very little wear or creases.The rosewood veneer has been re-oiled to restore their vibrancy, the aluminum bases and accents have been buffed & polished.
NOTE: The original ottoman leather was damaged after purchasing, remedied was a replacement ottoman cushion created and matched to original by Hume Modern. The remaining seat/backrest cushions are all in excellent condition. Feet, sliders and bases are firm with no wobbling. metal feet/sliders are in-tact, base pedestal bushings are sturdy/solid. Shock-mounts are in great & functioning condition.
SHIPPING*** will be shipped in two (2) separate orders. One with the chair/headrest and the other with the ottoman and both bases. Both shipments will require an adult signature, for both our interests as well as being insured. Your purchase receipt will have both tracking numbers and links to follow. Shipping anywhere within the 48 States is a flat fee of $135.00 which handles both shipments, insurance, and signature fees.
